After a few years of experimenting with built-in wireless charging and handful of prototypes since 2019, we came to the conclusion a flat charging pad just doesn’t suit real-world driving. We prefer the device position to be adjustable and angled toward the passenger to view and operate, or the driver for quick glances while on the move. That’s why we’re offering a Quad Lock adjustable wireless charging solution that keeps your phone visible, secure, and usable in both vertical and horizontal.
Pros:
- Wireless charging
- 10 minutes to install
- No wiring to do if you have USB outlets on the passenger's side at the front
- Adjustable device position
- Vertical or horizontal orientation
- The console is not designed around the charging solution, so you can update components in the future
This listing includes:
- Quad Lock 360 Head - Wireless Charging Head
- Quad Lock 360 Arm - Dual Pivot (Small)
- Quad Lock 360 Base - Flat Rectangle Base
- Mounting screws
You'll also need:
- A 25cm USB-A to USB-C cable. We use the 'Comsol Silicone USB-A to USB-C Cable 25cm Black' (COCMSB25BK)
Checking compatibility:
- Our consoles built over the last few years all include a reinforcement to secure a mount in front of the L shape tray. To check if your console has this, remove the L-tray from the console and check feel inside the framework toward the front of the vehicle, if there is a 9mm plywood reinforcement (refer to the photos, one from underneath the console showing the reinforcement)
- If you're unsure about compatibility, please email our team and one of our installers can assist you.
To fit this product:
- Centre the Quad Lock base on the front of the L-tray, Leave approx. 5mm gap between the front lip of the L-tray and the base.
- Secure the base to the console using the screws provided. You don't need to pre-drill a screw hole, but it can make the task easier.
- Secure the Quad Lock arm and the head.
- Connect your cable- and secure it to the Quad Lock arm using the built-in cable channel on the arm.
