The separate component design includes two 6.5-inch woofers and two aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeters. This allows the tweeters to be positioned higher in the vehicle, creating a clearer and more immersive front soundstage than a standard coaxial speaker.

Focal’s Polyglass woofer cone combines the natural sound characteristics of cellulose pulp with the rigidity of glass microbeads. This produces well-defined midrange, accurate vocals and controlled midbass. The inverted-dome tweeters provide detailed, refined high frequencies with broad sound dispersion throughout the cabin.

With a shallow 49 mm mounting depth and integrated crossovers, the ISU 165 is designed for flexible installation and is well suited to vehicles with limited space behind the factory door trims.
