As capable as the 70 Series is, it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to storage and cabin lighting. Our Flat Base Centre Roof Console is designed to add invaluable storage and LED interior lighting with a clean, factory-style finish.
Curtain Airbags?!
Did you know the 2016+ Australian-spec 79 Series Single Cab is the only vehicle with curtain airbags? Because of this, a roof console that spans across the windscreen would interfere with airbag deployment.
We’ve removed the roof lining from a Single Cab to clearly show the curtain airbag location and help explain the design considerations involved.
For 2023+ Facelift Models:
- Customers with 2023+ Facelift models will receive an integrated 6 Rocker/Carling Switch Panel, including five blanking plates and one custom mount to relocate the factory Bluetooth microphone.
- Your console will also include a genuine Toyota 70 Series factory interior light. We supply the larger version used in the 79 Series Dual Cab, 78 Series TroopCarrier, and 76 Series Wagon models. This is supplied in place of the original vehicle light, as its larger size allows for a bigger access opening in the console, making installation and servicing easier.
- The Narva 87509 LED light is not compatible with Facelift models due to Toyota’s auto-dimming interior light function. On these vehicles, the interior light gradually dims and brightens by varying the supply voltage rather than switching fully on and off. As the Narva 87509 does not support dimming, it would flicker.
- An upgraded LED globe is also supplied, providing brighter and more efficient cabin lighting.
For Pre-Facelift Models (2023 and earlier):
- Your console is not supplied with the Rocker/ Carling Switch Panel as standard. If you would like one included, please get in touch with our team- sales@consoles.com.au
- Pre-Facelift models are supplied with the Narva 87509 LED interior light, featuring a 3-way On / Off / Door switch.

Important Notes:
- XRS UHF radio is not included as standard but can be added as an option
- Vehicles fitted with roof insulation or sound-deadening material thicker than 3 mm may experience reduced clearance, which can affect correct installation
